Noam Chomsky is a professor of linguistics at M.I.T, and he is a well known scholar and critic of the media. In the movie “Manufacturing Consent” Chomsky's theory of the Propaganda Model” presents a gloomy picture of modern media. According to Chomsky, Newspapers and News programs peddle of lies and manipulations. The massive corporations that own the few number of News agencies restrict and edit stories based agenda setting ideals. There main goal is to sell adds, boost ratings, and maximize profits for their share holders. Censorship allows atrocities to go UN-noticed and UN-reported. The movie reflects this ideology in it's iconic imagery. The opening scene of the movie depicts a massive T.V with a male narrator introducing the movie. The TV is a metaphor for the mass media and its centralization. The large TV is made up of many smaller TV's. These smaller units represent the new stations that make up the large corporations. There may be many stations within the corporation, but only one voice is heard. There is only one narrator and he dictates the truths presented within the context of the movie.

Creative way to introdue your blog by providing a bit of background info on the author in question. Although unusual, I found it definitely caught my eye when you capitalized the "UN"s, to emphasize the cons of censorship.
