Chomsky and Marx
Chomsky and Marx share similar views regarding the process of control and retainment measures. Chomsky describes the "Propoganda Model" and how the social elite can control the media institutions, literally create history, and control the cognitive process of each viewer/reader of that publication. Equally, Marx describes the negative influence that the elite class, bourgeoisie have over the lower proletariat. Marx's philosophy however, is based on the call the action and belief that the lower class needs to ultimately rise up through revolution and take what is ritefully theirs. But based on Chomsky's documentary, he does not see such a violent means to the common end.
