Yes Men can save my world! Deconstructing one ad at a time! The Yes Men expose how big companies market products to consumers. Also; Bichlbaum and Mike Bonanno plan a hilarious stunt where they pose as a representative from Dow chemicals, and tell the BBC that they will pay billions in reparations to victims of a chemical spill. This stunt reveals the callus nature of corporations and the government. In reality companies would never pay out more than they have to. The Yes Men make the impossible possible. These elaborate pranks make people think. The pranks reveal that we all buy into a system that oppresses us. This reminds me of false conciousness by Karl Marx. We perpetuate the system because we believe it is the only way life and government can exist. Big corporations and government agencies brain wash us. The Yes Men reveal that we allow these huge corporations get away with murder! If we stand up and realize what is happening to us, we have a chance to change the system.
